This is the Skyfall CD of Acorn Computer Graphics. It contains many thousands of images in various formats.
<h2>The IMAGES directory</h2>

This CD ROM has over three and a half thousand images in the IMAGES directory alone. To help you find the picture you want we've added an image viewer which you may find useful.
<p>
<b>JPEGS</b> These are 16 million colour compressed images, there are over 1000 of them on this CD; to view a JPEG image you'll need something like !ChangeFSI or !FYEO (you'll find both of these inside the !EASYCLIP folder {to open this application as a folder click it while holding down shift}).<p>
<b>MORPHPACKS</b> Again these are 16 million colour images, please see the IMAGEINFO file which is in the MORPHPACKS directory for more information.
<p>
<b>SPRITES</b> Normal 'old format' Acorn sprites, supplied as three types 256 colour masked sprites, mono clipart sprites and 256 colour quarter screen grabs (once referred to a Digital Quarters).

<b>THE EASYCLIP VIEWER</b>
The CD is supplied with a viewer application to make finding the images you want easy and straight forward. This application is a special version of EasyClip, it allows you to view the images from the CD, but restricts you from adding new images or draw clips (as with the full version).
To access first double-click on the !EASYCLIP icon, this will load the application to the icon bar. Then click on the 'C' icon on the iconbar this will open the viewer window.
From this window you will be able to preview all of the images and extract them. The images are divided into about 50 different sections, the viewer displays these separately.
You will find a four icon toolbar on the viewer window.
[ICON 1] The top icon controls the scale of the display. Either regular or condensed. By clicking on the icon you toggle between these modes.
[ICON 2] The second toolbar icon opens a menu showing a list of all the image sections. By clicking on one of these, you jump straight to that section.
[ICON 3] The third icon is a dual icon allowing you to either move up or down the collection by one section per click.
[ICON 4] The final icon controls the double click preview action. In one mode it uses it's own viewer to examine images in greater detail, and in the other it sends them to another application, such as paint, for inspection.
To take images directly out of EASYCLIP simply drag them to a destination window of your choice.
Alternatively if you wish to access the images directly, without using the viewer application, the IMAGES directory contains all of the files in plain directories.

<p>If your CD ROM is slow, you may want to speed up the browsing of the images in this collection. This can be done by copying the !EASYCLIP directory to your harddrive, it will take about 20Mb. You will be able browse through the images at greater speed, of course you will need to insert the SKYFALL GRAPHIX CD if you wish to viewer or extract images.
<h2>The Other items on this CD</h2>

<b>SLIDESHOWS</b> A long, long time ago PD libraries had to supply images in compressed formats that didn't have desktop decompressors or desktop viewers. The result of this was the images were decompressed and display out of desktop in what was called a slideshow. <p>
<b>ARTWORKS</b> A small taster of Artworks images are supplied in this directory along with an Artworks file viewer.
